Launching the National Saturday Club's virtual Summer Show 2020

21 July 2020

Last weekend we launched an online exhibition for the National Saturday Club's annual Summer Show featuring the work of over 1,500 13-16 year olds from across the country. These budding creatives are part of the National Saturday Club, an arts education charity that offers free Saturday classes in more vocational subjects than the normal school curriculum, opening up the worlds of work and university to young people.

Coronavirus has meant that the Saturday Club were unable to host their annual Summer Show at Somerset House. This would usually be the high point of the year for Club members and their families as they would get to see their work displayed in a revered London institution, with the exhibition open to the public for a week. This year was a bit different though as we created a unique digital experience that captured the energy and creativity of the young people in an online exhibition.

Lucy Kennedy, CEO at the Saturday Club Trust said,"So many people have commented on how well the energy of the programme and the creativity of the young people has been capture through the online platform and I know what hard work went into achieving this. I really feel that you have enabled the Trust to move forward in great bounds with this project."

Lady Sorrell, OBE, Co-founder of the Saturday Club Trust said, "The Imagination team have created a brilliant interpretation of the Club, it looks familiar only much much better. The design is simple but sophisticated and the tone is pitched just right."
