ABOUT THE PROJECT
At the corner of commerce and community
Visa & Main is a program from Visa that celebrates the small and local businesses of Main Streets everywhere through lending, promotion and business support. Visa launched the program with an inaugural event in Atlanta, before hosting the first of many ‘Small Business Huddle’ events in Philadelphia.
CHALLENGE
Small businesses are the backbone of America’s economy, yet 43% lack access to the financing and tools needed to grow. The Visa & Main platform brings together products, partners and practical support, but the event series had to deliver meaningful impact in the communities themselves.

THE OUTCOME
Welcome to the Neighborhood
Our creative concept ‘Welcome to the Neighborhood’ ensures a consistent look and feel across the whole event series. Each venue is transformed into a playful, experiential recreation of classic Main Streets across America. The design aesthetic focuses on small town USA, using fun and familiar vernacular such as town murals, storefronts and sidewalk signs. Complete with a community board to share contact and ideas for fellow business owners.
Launch event in atlanta
200+ local small business owners were invited to a morning of networking and programming hosted by Visa at The Foundry venue in the West Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta. Each part of the Visa & Main platform had its own dedicated section, for founders to dive deeper on the tools available to them. Our stage was host to local dignitaries such as Georgia Commissioner of Labor Bárbara Rivera Holmes, and soccer legend Tim Howard as they discussed the economic opportunity of the upcoming FIFA World Cup™ in Atlanta.
Philadelphia small business huddle
Following the launch, Visa have begun a series of ‘Small Business Huddles’ to ensure the platform is fully integrated into local communities. The event was hosted in the iconic ‘Battery’ building, a former power station in the Fishtown neighborhood, and was designed to bring small business owners up to speed on the FIFA World Cup 26™ and how they could make the most of the tournament being hosted in Philadelphia.
