As shopper expectations evolve faster than store layouts can keep up, how can brands stay relevant, let alone irresistible? That’s the question at the heart of this episode FYI (For Your Imagination), a new event series created for brand leaders who like their insight fresh, their ideas bold, and their experiences unforgettable.

On July 17, we launched Creating Retail Experiences with Edge: Building the Moments Your Customers Crave with sharp thinking provocations built to push the industry forward.

FYI brings together marketing leaders, creatives, and cultural movers to explore what happens when tech, culture, and human behaviour collide and how brands can design to meet that moment.

In collaboration with Grace Herbert-Lo, Lead Strategist at Westfield Rise Europe and behavioural scientist Professor Guy Champniss of the IE Business School, we explored the trends shaping tomorrow’s shoppers, the science behind why people buy, and how to design brand experiences that don’t just engage but stick. We also gave attendees a look at the latest AI innovations shaping in-store experiences.

This first session challenged a big assumption: that retail should be built on logic. But the reality? Shoppers buy based on emotion, habit, context, and often, contradiction. So, how do brands design for that? That’s what this conversation set out to answer.

The full webinar is now available to watch on demand here.

This was just the beginning. FYI is an ongoing series built for brand leaders who want to think differently and act boldly, covering a range of topics and challenges many marketers face today.

To go deeper on any of the topics covered, you can book a session with our strategy and experience design teams by emailing newbusiness@imagination.com. And if you want to be first in line for the next FYI, make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter.
