Meet Detroit’s new senior leadership team

17 October 2023

Imagination Detroit is evolving its core leadership team in support of the global Ford client relationship and in preparation for continued growth in 2024. In this article, we introduce you to the new look team.

Tim Stafford is Detroit’s new Managing Director. Tim, previously Director of Live Communications, will continue the momentum from previous Managing Director, Alistair Wilson, driving growth and diversification across the business.

Critically Tim will continue to lead the world-class client relationship with Ford working with the executive leadership team at the company’s Detroit headquarters across Ford’s newly formed customer-focused business segments; Ford Blue, Ford Model e and Ford Pro.

Tim, on the appointment, “Our team continues to be an important partner in this time of transformation for the industry, delivering innovative campaigns that help to position Ford as a leader in the automotive revolution.”

Paul Cowan is Business and Strategy Director for Ford. To further strengthen our global relationship, Paul Cowan, previously Business Director Ford of Europe, has moved into the new role of Business and Strategy Director of the Ford account.

Paul explains, “Imagination’s work with Ford has evolved and re-invented itself many times throughout our longstanding relationship. This is by far the most important moment as Ford ‘refounds’ itself through the Ford+ plan globally. We have responded by taking the opportunity to re-organize ourselves to ensure we give Ford and its new business segments the very best of Imagination everywhere, so we can best support its transformation.”

Patrick Reid, Imagination CEO said, “With these changes, we are ensuring our clients have greater access to our global depth of skills and experience by working across geographies in a more nimble, cohesive, and joined-up way, based on changing client needs.”

Paul will work closely with Ford Business Directors Nicole O’Hara and Jennifer Grace. Together, the team plans to build on Imagination’s track record of delivering creative excellence to help the automaker execute its ambitious Ford+ plan to lead the new era of connected and electric vehicles.

Since 2020, Imagination Detroit has won over 35 industry awards, including coveted Sabre, Effie, PR Week and Clio awards.
