Overview

Imagination is searching for a Senior Producer with a robust production background to lead live and experiential projects from concept to completion. This dual-role requires you to excel in both client-facing engagement and hands-on production management.

You’ll be the primary client contact, building strong relationships while overseeing the entire project lifecycle. This includes interpreting briefs, managing budgets, timelines, and logistics, all while collaborating closely with creative and production teams to ensure exceptional delivery.

As a key leader, you’ll convert project briefs into actionable plans, assemble dedicated teams, and manage workflows to exceed client expectations. You’ll also play a vital role in revenue forecasting, commercial alignment, and identifying growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Senior Producer who excels at every stage of live and experiential events. Your expertise will cover:

  • Client Leadership: Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with clients at all levels, from initial brief to project completion, ensuring exceptional experiences and positive outcomes.
  • Project Ownership: Take charge of projects from concept to execution, ensuring they align with client goals, exceed expectations, and deliver measurable results.
  • Budget Mastery: Develop and manage multi-million-dollar budgets with precision, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and financially optimized.
  • Creative Collaboration: Partner with creative teams to develop groundbreaking ideas and compelling narratives that captivate audiences and create memorable brand moments.
  • Team Development: Mentor project leads and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment that drives excellence and innovation.
  • Business Acumen: Identify opportunities for growth, introduce new services, and contribute to revenue expansion in alignment with client objectives.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Account Management/ Client Services:

  • Build and nurture strong client relationships by gaining a deep understanding of client brands, products, and competitive landscapes.
  • Develop and implement FY Account Growth plans that align with client revenue targets, driving continuous growth and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Manage monthly and annual revenue forecasts, ensuring alignment with project budgets and client expectations.
  • Act as the primary client lead, overseeing the creative development process to ensure that projects align with client objectives and success metrics.
  • Lead the proposal process, conducting research and writing client presentations for received or proactive briefs, while managing all aspects of project development, including proposals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Take the lead in pitch and presentation processes, confidently presenting ideas to clients, including senior management.
  • Provide a highly responsive client service approach, ensuring exceptional satisfaction and addressing any client concerns or escalations promptly.
  • Proactively seek new opportunities by managing the reverse briefing process with clients and identifying new business avenues.
  • Prepare and present proposals, budgets, and project plans to clients, ensuring alignment with their objectives and timelines.
  • Influence client decision-making and act as a trusted advisor, building long-term, positive relationships.
  • Ensure clients are well-informed with regular updates, contact reports, and project schedules, keeping them involved throughout the process.
  • Support marketing, PR, and thought leadership initiatives, assisting with content creation and strategies to enhance the client’s brand presence.
  • Assist in the development of workshops and other client-facing initiatives, driving engagement and fostering continued growth.

Creative Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the creative, digital, and events teams to produce creative responses and ideas.
  • Manage briefs, timelines, and day-to-day project delivery with the business director and creative teams.
  • Coordinate resource management to meet project requirements and ensure creative execution aligns with the brief.

Production Management:

  • Oversee the delivery of all projects and experiences 
  • Oversee the critical production aspects, from proposal to delivery and reconciliation.
  • Oversee the negotiate and manage supplier contracts and logistics pre- and post-event.
  • Oversee project timelines, WIP documents, and production schedules.
  • Develop and maintain a best-in-class production supplier network.
  • Lead expectations around  logistical aspects, including venue liaison, talent sourcing, catering, and travel.
  • Ensure all production elements are delivered on time, including collateral, OHS documentation, and installation/dismantling of events.
  • Support across all production areas—digital, screen, and live event execution.

Financial / Commercial: 

  • Oversee project resourcing scopes to ensure that all staff are communicated to and are keeping informed of their allocations and reconciling the time spent 
  • Manage the project budget creation process and schedules. Review and approve the project budgets and schedules to ensure they are in line with the overall project delivery timelines.
  • Accountable for all project revenue. Meet/exceed all defined project revenue targets defined by the client. Monitored and reported monthly.
  • Work closely with your Business Director in the growth and development of your clients
  • Ensures Team process compliance (creative, financial & system)
  • Accountable for timely reconciliation and client communication

Management & Administration:

  • Work in partnership with the Business Director on resource planning for the assigned projects/accounts, ensuring optimal resource allocation and project alignment.
  • Mentor and guide senior, mid, and junior team members, providing leadership and development opportunities to enhance team performance and growth.
  • Manage both full-time and freelance resourcing, ensuring the right talent is assigned to the appropriate projects, optimising workflow efficiency and quality of delivery.
  • Oversee and maintain administration systems, including project reports and planning tools (e.g., WIP documents), ensuring smooth operation and up-to-date project tracking.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of project milestones by effectively managing timelines and deliverables, balancing client expectations with team capabilities.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills by coordinating all project elements from initiation to completion, ensuring all steps are executed with precision.
  • Manage and maintain account documents such as templates, project bibles, inductions, rules of engagement, and other key resources for seamless project delivery and consistency.
  • Ensure that all project-related documents are stored in the correct locations on the server, maintaining proper document management practices.
  • Take accurate minutes during client meetings, internal meetings, and workshops, ensuring key decisions, actions, and follow-up tasks are documented and communicated effectively.
  • Stay informed on key industry events, maintaining a calendar of relevant dates to ensure proactive planning and alignment with important milestones and opportunities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Previous experience in producing events for corporate clients, with experience in exhibitions being advantageous.

  • Proven ability to manage all production aspects, including logistics, branding, and technical details.
  • Strong team management skills and the ability to build & nurture relationships across departments.
  • Excellent financial acumen with proven experience managing project budgets.
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
