People & Culture Partner (Part Time)

Part Time Operations – People & Culture
LinkedIn Life

Overview

About the Role

We’re hiring a part-time People & Culture (P&C) Partner to own the full employee lifecycle — from first candidate touchpoint through offboarding — for our New York and Detroit studios, and Investor Communications business based in our New York studio.

This is a standalone, senior HR generalist / HR Business Partner role: you’ll be the sole dedicated People & Culture presence supporting both locations, working directly with the Executive Director and people managers across the business.

This is a high-autonomy, high-visibility role suited to an experienced HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist, or People Partner who wants full ownership of talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, Learning & Development, and HR operations — not a narrow slice of the function.

The compensation listed reflects the full-time equivalent salary and will be prorated based on a 3-day-per-week part-time work schedule.

Why this role

You’ll have full ownership of the People & Culture function for two offices — real autonomy, direct executive access, and the chance to shape policy, process and culture, rather than execute someone else’s playbook. This is a role for someone who wants strategic scope and hands-on delivery in equal measure.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Own

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

  • End-to-end recruitment and applicant tracking system (ATS) ownership (using existing system)
  • Interview coordination, structured interview design, and hiring manager enablement
  • Candidate communications, employer branding, and candidate experience
  • Background screening and reference checking
  • Offer letter, job ad, and interview scorecard template ownership

Onboarding, Induction & Offboarding

  • Welcome letters, new-hire onboarding design and execution across NY & Detroit studios, and Investor Comms business
  • New joiner induction sessions
  • Full leaver / offboarding cycle management
  • New-hire compliance onboarding

Employee Relations

  • Employee relations case management, investigations, and manager coaching across both offices
  • General HR correspondence: contract changes, confirmations, salary review letters

Compliance, Risk & Data Protection

  • Americas specific compliance training platform ownership (Zywave): assignment, reporting, content, and automation
  • Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) maintenance, and supplier contract review
  • Onboarding and compliance reporting
  • New York and Michigan employment law compliance

Policy & Employee Voice

  • P&C policy ownership and updates
  • Employee feedback channel administration and routing
  • Whistleblowing process administration

Learning & Development

  • Management training design and delivery
  • L&D platform ownership  development actions, reporting, and trend analysis
  • New-hire learning content

Reporting & Analytics

  • Consolidated HR reporting and trend analysis across recruitment, compliance, ER, and development data
  • Insights and recommendations for the Executive Director and leadership team

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of progressive Human Resources / People & Culture experience, including HR Business Partner or senior generalist experience
  • Proven experience owning HR end-to-end in a standalone or lean-team environment — comfortable being the only HR presence in the room
  • Working knowledge of New York State/NYC and Michigan employment law; multi-state HR experience preferred
  • Experience managing employee relations cases and workplace investigations independently
  • Familiarity with GDPR, data protection principles, and HR compliance frameworks
  • Experience with HR systems such as an ATS, background screening tools , compliance training platforms, and L&D/performance  frameworks
  • Experience in a creative, marketing, experiential, or agency environment strongly preferred
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner directly with senior leadership.
