Overview

We are looking for a Mid-Level Strategist to join our team at Imagination New York. You will be part of the team responsible for strategy across all clients in the New York office, under the direction of the Strategy Lead.

You will be involved in the planning and concepting of exceptional experiences across both digital and physical environments, working on a variety of projects for globally recognized brands.

You have a strong understanding of marketing principles and can translate audience insights and business requirements into intuitive and engaging ideas. 

You will have the opportunity to contribute to all stages of the design process, from ideation and research to prototyping and implementation. You will also play a key role in New Business and Marketing, helping with client outreach, thought leadership and RFP responses.

You’ll work within the multi-disciplinary creative team at Imagination New York, working alongside experienced designers and strategists. As a Mid-Level Strategist you will also collaborate closely with account managers and the production team to ensure seamless integration of your work into the overall project vision.

You will also collaborate with the extended Imagination teams across the USA and globally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Strategy Lead on live client work, along with new business proposals; leading your own projects when appropriate
  • Partnering with the Creative Director to develop new and exciting brand experience ideas capable of transforming a customer’s relationship with a brand
  • Using available market /consumer data to develop an inspiring positioning for a brand
  • Craft cultural and audience insights and use them to build out strategically minded campaigns
  • Develop imaginative and inspiring creative briefs.
  • Have a strong understanding of our client’s brands, products, objectives, KPIs and competitors
  • Support proposal writing, RFP responses, and thought leadership development
  • Present confidently to internal teams and clients, communicating strategy clearly and persuasively
  • Collaborate with creative, production and client services to ensure strategy flows into execution

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 3-5 years of experience cultivating success within a dynamic creative agency
  • A natural at forging collaborative partnerships across client and creative domains
  • Insight-driven, with proven analytical capabilities and familiarity with tools such as GWI, Stylus, and WARC
  • A compelling communicator with a flair for impactful presentations, comfortable engaging directly with clients
  • Thrives in a team environment, building productive and positive internal relationships
  • Fluent in the intricacies of brand strategy, creative development, and audience insight.
  • Driven by insatiable curiosity and a pulse on cultural shifts, you anticipate audience behaviors, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Prior experience shaping physical or digital experiences and activations is a strong asset
  • Technically proficient with Google Workspace, leveraging its full capabilities
  • Degree-level educated or possesses equivalent professional experience
