Our Coventry office is recruiting for an Interim Events Manager for our innovative automotive clients working across a motorsport project. This is a fixed term contract until July 2020.
Reporting into the Client Services Director and Logistics Director, this role will be integral to delivering a programme of work for the client and will lead on a diverse range of projects, from high-profile media launches to international drive programmes. The role will have a client facing element so effective relationship building is a key requirement.
You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned project execution including supplier and 3rd party management, keeping within established budgets and timeframes. You will also be involved in the development of event documentation including proposals, schedules and itineraries ensuring these are adhered to and that all documentation and project filing is complete. The Events Manager will also help to produce compelling project briefs and presentations so will need to be able to demonstrate a strong ability to write effectively.
You’ll need to have strong commercial management skills and have experience in consolidating project costs and budgetary control. You’ll also be required to follow through with on-site delivery including overseas, occasionally 4+ weeks so will need a willingness to sometimes work unsociable hours and be open to global travel.
You’ll have strong knowledge of the events and exhibitions industry particularly launches, drive events, incentive travel and sponsorship events and experience of delegate management systems. You’ll have excellent communication skills, will be flexible and a team player. You’ll also need to be well organised with excellent attention to detail and strong MS Office skills. Fluency in additional European Languages would be advantageous.
