Our New York team currently works on a hybrid schedule.  Our project-based work includes specialized content creation, financial roadshows, investor days, conferences, listing celebrations and board of directors’ events. We have an unrivalled 40-year+ track record helping over 750 companies connect with investors all over the world.  Our work includes supporting clients such as Arm, Warby Parker, Bumble, DoorDash, Uber, Robinhood, Spotify, Snap, GoodRx, Prada, Pinterest, Coupang, Tencent Music Entertainment, Delphi, GM, Visa, Alibaba Group, XP, Hyatt, AB InBev on their IPOs and investor days.  In fact, we have supported on 70% of the largest 25 IPO of all time.

Role Overview:

To be responsible for proactively and efficiently managing client projects; delivering jobs on time and on budget and providing a high-quality service at all times.

You will contribute to the growth of our global investor communications business by developing strong client relationships and by applying insights gleaned from industry news, trends and developments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as primary contact for client and relevant advisors on each project, immersing yourself in the brand and investor story
  • Work with a company’s in-house marketing and creative teams, and agencies, in the development of the investor focused content and the overall brand experience solution for deal, non-deal marketing and investor events
  • Work with internal and third-party partners in the production of long-form (30 minutes)) of investor video presentations and shorter corporate brand films
  • Oversee creative treatment and script development (with support by creative director and copywriter) and review brand materials and legal documentation in order to understand and guide the development of both
  • Coordinate design and development of the roadshow/investor presentation
  • Create client research and creative briefs, and ensure briefs are adhered to
  • Communicate project requirements, client instructions, and creative intent to internal team and outside suppliers (as needed) and guide on-brand solutions
  • Develop and maintain overall project timeline and guide project team to deliver project most effectively and efficiently 
  • Create and manage overall project budget, from initial cost estimate to reconciliation and invoicing
  • Negotiate and manage bids and contracting with third parties
  • Manage the collection of NDAs, releases, COIs and other necessary paperwork
  • Create and update project schedules and/or run of shows
  • Travel to oversee on location live-action shooting, roadshow support and/or events
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop and sustain mid-level and higher client relationships through a good understanding of client’s business environment and through superb project delivery
  • Research, develop and win new business with existing and prospective clients, and banks, including proposal documents, budgets and pitch presentations


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Investor Communications is a small team within the larger Imagination The Americas Inc. New York office.  The ideal candidate will be adept at both complex project management and logistical tasks, demonstrating enthusiasm for all aspects of the role.  Investor communications projects are fast-paced and require a high degree of attention to detail to meet ambitious deadlines.

The following attributes are therefore necessary:

  • A positive, can-do attitude along with the ability to work across a wide range of projects
  • Extensive experience in client services and communications with a proven track record of leading large-scale, high-profile projects with the proficiency normally associated through 12 + years experience.in an agency or IR/PR  environment
  • Experience with leading the development of corporate communications digital content / video production projects, all the way through pre production, filming and post production
  • Event management experience preferred 
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience collaborating with senior-level executives and navigating complex interpersonal dynamics
  • Highly motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated excellence in attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident and effective in negotiating contracts with vendors and venues, and managing releases with talent and locations Initiative and enthusiasm, with an ability to ‘think on your feet’
  • Flexibility for short-notice travel for shoots and events, when required to support project delivery 
  • Prepared to work extended hours as required to meet project needs
  • PowerPoint and Excel as well as Google Slides and Sheets competency is essential
  • Strong numeracy skills, well-practiced in complex budgeting and reconciliation
  • Regular communication with clients in the financial sector, specifically investment and ECM banking, is a key component of this role. An interest in and a foundational understanding of capital markets are essential
  • A keen interest in financial and business news is beneficial, and staying current with industry developments is expected
