Elevating the luxury health club experience in London

Imagination partnered with Third Space to design and deliver luxury health club environments across London. We designed a new club in Mayfair alongside a comprehensive, phased redesign of their Marylebone site. Our strategy elevated the health club environment by merging industrial architectural details with refined hospitality elements.

Third Space needed to expand and update their portfolio of luxury health clubs. They required a design approach that captured their energetic style and appealed to their high-profile members without relying on the usual cliches of fitness environments. We also needed to navigate a complex, phased refurbishment for their active Marylebone site, which paused and restarted during COVID-19 lockdown periods.

Raising the bar in Mayfair

We had a clear goal for the design of the Mayfair club: epitomise the energetic health club environment Third Space is known for, and elevate it through an upgraded sense of premium hospitality. The selected design and material palette merged bold and industrial features such as the architectural metal staircase with refined elements such as a bespoke cast reception desk. The design reflected an outstanding level of attention to detail with integrated seating areas and dressing rooms materialised in high-end stone, metal finishes and walnut timber, ultimately comprising Third Spaceʼs individual style with the high-end expectations of the Mayfair community.

Training in style in Marylebone

As part of our Third Space expansion strategy, we embarked on a comprehensive redesign of the Marylebone club. Each area of this established location was thoughtfully reimagined, enhancing layouts to optimise the overall guest experience and maximise use of the gym facilities. A key feature of the transformation was the addition of a new hot yoga studio, with the entire club revitalised to reflect the distinctive energy and sophisticated style of Third Space.
