Designing Our Future with Imagination and Lume

2 April 2019

Kicking off in New York, the UK’s Department for International Trade launches Designing Our Future at The Altman Building in lower Manhattan. From April 2 - 4 Imagination will be taking part in the dynamic three-day business event.  Aimed at showcasing the very best of British innovation, the campaign highlights Britain’s global partnerships currently solving some of society’s spectrum of challenges - from healthy ageing to sustainable urban transit solutions.

Visitors will be given the unique opportunity of interacting with LUME.  Developed with the Cambridge University’s Lee Labs, the Virtual Reality platform presents enhanced insight into complex data. Offering the ability to better understand and explore elaborate datasets, the platform makes patterns simpler to recognise and insights more compelling to present and share with others. On hand will be Lume Co-Founder Alex Kitching and Imagination’s Immersive Studio Business Director Rory Byrne.

Commenting on Designing Our Future, Her Majesty's Trade Commissioner for North America, Antony Phillipson shares:
"Designing Our Future will spotlight the UK's global leadership in innovation and commerce, demonstrating the multitude of ways in which, together, British and North American businesses are tackling some of the most pressing and complex challenges of our time. Companies from across the UK are forming incredible collaborations and partnerships with North American businesses, and there has never been a more exciting time to collaborate and innovate."
