Creating World Leading Success Stories with the DIT

The Department for International Trade (DIT) will be holding ‘Designing our Future - a three day event held in New York City. Starting this month from the  2nd - 4th, the event will convene more than 100 thought leaders, influencers, entrepreneurs, decision-makers to discuss various challenges contemporary economies are facing today. Attendees from a spectrum of industries will explore innovations and ideas that will Design Our Future.

Imagination was appointed by DIT to develop the overall experience design and visual language for the flagship event. Our New York team led by Guy Stevenson worked with a range of brands including Design Museum, De La Rue and Brompton Bikes to gain further insight into their stories and bring them to life for audiences to enjoy.  As part of UK day, we conceptualised key aspects including the VIP event, gallery space and showcase zone with the aim of creating deliberately engaging opportunities perfect for networking and collaboration.

DIT is the UK's Government department responsible for helping UK based companies succeed on a global playing field.  Made up of professional advisors from more than 100 international markets, DIT also assist overseas companies in bringing high-quality investment into the UK.  In a recent long term Export Strategy released by the UK government, total exports are expected to increase from 30% to 35% of overall GDP.  A new Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) strategy will aim to reinforce its current position as the Number 1 destination in Europe for FDI.
