The class of 2020: Achieving an emotional connection in a virtual graduation with The Royal Ballet School

We're proud to have partnered with The Royal Ballet School to bring its 2020 Graduation online to a global audience of parents, special guest speakers, Governors, sponsors, prize-givers, teachers, healthcare and pastoral staff and of course the Graduating Year of 2020.

Having worked with The Royal Ballet School for the last ten years, the challenge for Imagination was to deliver a virtual ceremony that maintained a human connection and give the graduates a virtual experience they didn’t think would be possible.

The 90 minute ceremony was a live streamed broadcast, with a programme that included appearances from The Royal Ballet School’s Chairman, award sponsors and, a special guest speaker, Leanne Benjamin OBE AM.

The filming of the live ceremony took place at White Lodge in Richmond Park, home of The Royal Ballet School and involved coordinating multiple streams of live and pre-recorded content for a seamless online experience.
