Junior Production Manager (Events)

Role Overview:
The main responsibility of the Junior Production Manager is to provide support for the delivery of the technical and production requirements for the Dubai and on occasion across the Qatar and KSA office across both established and new clients and on a wide variety of projects, spanning our core offers of Consulting, Destinations, Content and Live. Projects range from live events, exhibitions, experience centers, brand homes or other destinations, experiential activations.
Detailed responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not restricted to;
- Assisting the Snr. Production Manager and Head of Production in acquiring costs from suppliers and creating cost comparison studies and BOQs
- Assisting in research of products and services
- Coordination of logistics arrangements with in-house staff and freelancers for production related staffing
- Working with and supporting Creative Production Teams to develop solutions for live event situations
- Assisting with the scheduling of the production process
- Liaise with venues and carry out site visits as appropriate, reporting back as to suitability for required situation
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and ensuring new and innovative products and services are introduced
- Assist with the management of Health and Safety on all projects in conjunction with the Imagination Health and Safety Manager
- Manage smaller budget range projects independently with the help of the Snr Production Manager and Head of Production as well as the wider team
- Assisting with any production and creative production tasks as workload demands
- General assistance for the Snr. Production Manager and the Head of Production (Managing diary, filling out expense claims, organising meetings, note taking, taking messages etc…)
- Fulfilling the role in compliance with company policies and procedures, for example (but not limited) ISO documentation, Information Security training.
- Support on office operations, office suppliers and repairs where required.
- Ability to travel within the UAE, regionally and where required internationally, some of which can come with significant periods onsite, sometimes in remote locations.
Experience and skills required:
- Relevant experience in similar industries
- Basic understanding of technical staging, AV and construction processes, practical experience is desirable along with contractor liaison
- Understanding of the budgeting process, practical experience of budgeting is desirable
- Ability to multitask projects
- Basic knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations. This role will present opportunities to further training in some areas such as health and safety, first aid and CAD programs
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel, Literacy in Vectorworks / AutoCAD is desirable but not essential along with Powerpoint / Keynote
- Hard working, reliable and attentive to detail
- Team oriented and an excellent communicator
- Calm, collected and approachable persona – even under extreme pressure
- Proactive and able to work with own initiative
- Interested in current business issues
- Additional spoken Languages advantageous
- Flexible and adaptable to new challenges and requirements
- Able to travel internationally for periods of up to 3 weeks, willingness to work unsociable hours (inc. weekends) from time to time
