About the role

Our Creative Director’s shape our creative output, managing different creative teams and output to maintain their vision. You will be expected to take client briefs, find unique insights and build responses that meet our clients needs and match Imagination’s high creative standards. You will bolster our already strong creative experiential offering, with an emphasis on content creation of all forms - including but not limited to video, digital and virtual production. This role will see you leading creative responses from pitch through to production and final delivery.

Detailed responsibilities:

  • Vision
    • A desire for storytelling in screen and emerging content mediums
    • The intent to push boundaries and challenge expectations with unique creative solutions
    • Effectively communicate your vision to inspire teams and win clients
  • Integration
    • Guide creative work by drawing upon your strong executional background and proven ability to deliver the highest standard of work
    • Demonstrate an enthusiasm and understanding of modern technology and digital mediums
    • Problem solve with design thinking that incorporates strategy, consumer experience, creative best practices and cost efficiency
    • Regularly present your work to the Executive Creative Director and encourage a culture of sharing within the creative team, allowing for work to thrive collaboratively

  • Teamwork
    • Provide guidance and leadership to the creative team, ensuring high standards are maintained
    • Educate and communicate best practice creative ideation techniques
    • Effectively communicate your creative intent with cross departmental teams
    • Be involved with project planning and reliably deliver work on-time
    • Support and work alongside Account and Production management to deliver commercially intelligent, insightful and innovative creative solutions

  • Leadership
    • Mentor and develop the skills and strengths of the creative team
    • Take responsibility for your creative responses, ensuring they meet our creative standard and be accountable for seeing a creative response through end-to-end
    • Mentor and develop design and presentation skills within the team

  • Other
    • Fulfilling the role in compliance with company policies and procedures, for example (but not limited) ISO documentation, Information Security training
    • Be a true process champion and support best practices implementation proactively

Required skills & experience

  • An incredibly strong portfolio of delivered work
  • Experience working with leading international brands
  • Proven ability to develop creatively ambitious content with realistic budgets
  • Exceptional design and creative craft skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate creative ideas with written and visual support
  • Have experience in presenting to and working with clients to achieve the best solutions for their brands
  • Able to conduct yourself with the highest standard of behaviour and respect for colleagues
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Knowledge of relevant software packages (After Effects, Cinema 4D a plus)
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills (business English & fluent/native Chinese)

Preferred qualifications

  • A true understanding of integrated design, marrying experience design with content creation
